Standard Terms and Conditions

All sales are made under the standard terms and conditions outlined in this document. Any modifications to these standard terms must be approved in writing by Essex Parts Services Inc. (Essex).

Essex reserves the right to change prices at any time without notice.

AP Racing and Ferodo Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) Policy

No authorized reseller is to advertise below MAP in digital or print materials or communications with retail customers. Noncompliance will result in the immediate termination of your account with Essex. Please check with Essex for current MAP prices.

Orders

Orders consisting of 100% in-stock items placed before 1pm EST Monday-Friday typically ship the same business day. Orders consisting of 100% in-stock items placed after 1pm EST or on weekends will ship at the discretion of Essex, but typically the following business day. Orders placed with any backordered item will require an Essex sales representative to contact the buyer to collect payment information at which time the customer will be given an estimated shipping date.

How do I check the status of, or track my order?

Please use the UPS Package Tracking box located here. Packages can be tracked via your Essex Sales Order# or the UPS tracking number.

If you have any trouble tracking your package, or have questions about a back-ordered product, you can contact one of our customer service representatives at:

Placing an Order

There are a couple of ways to order from Essex:

  • Order online via secure checkout using your credit card.
  • Call 704-824-6030 from 8AM to 5PM Eastern Time Monday through Friday to order with a credit card. Essex is closed on Saturday and Sunday.
  • Essex does not ship to PO boxes.

When will my credit card be charged?

Essex will authorize your credit card at the time of order. An authorization is a temporary hold on the funds. We will finalize the charge when the item ships. The only exception is for special order items, such as an AP Racing Factory BBK. In those cases your credit card will be charged immediately for the full price of the order, at the time of order.

Cancel An Order

For standard, non-special order products, an order can be cancelled at any time prior to shipment by calling 704-824-6030 from 8AM to 5PM Eastern Time Monday through Friday.

Back-ordered Products

What if the product I ordered is not in stock?

Our goal is to keep as many popular products on the shelf as possible. However, there are times when we have to wait for a product to arrive from a manufacturer. All products on the order that are in stock will ship immediately. If a product you ordered is not in stock, it will be placed on back-order status, and you will be notified via email with an estimated ship date. All back-ordered products on your order will then be shipped as soon as they become available, and we’ll do our best to keep you informed if a manufacturer changes their estimated arrival date for a back-ordered product. Again, estimated back-order ship dates are not guaranteed ship dates. They are simply the best information we have from the manufacturer at the time of order.

Essex accepts payment by:

  • Credit card: American Express, Visa, MasterCard, or Discover
  • PayPal

Sales Tax

Essex is required by law to charge state sales tax on all items shipping to North Carolina. In other states where we don't collect sales tax, it is the customer's responsibility to assure that all appropriate taxes are paid.

Merchandise Return

All returns must be shipped to Essex via prepaid freight. Prior to returning any goods, Buyer must obtain a Return Materials Authorization (RMA) number from Essex, and it must be clearly displayed on the return shipment. Returned merchandise must be in as-new condition, in original, unopened and undamaged packaging, and available for immediate resale. Credit will not be issued for any product that has been opened, installed, used, or manipulated in any manner. Such items will be returned to Buyer at Buyer's expense. A restocking fee of 15% may be assessed on any returns, solely at the discretion of Essex.
