NTT IndyCar Series Names AP Racing as Exclusive Clutch Supplier for 2024

As the 2024 NTT IndyCar season heats up, we're excited to announce that AP Racing's carbon/carbon clutches will be featured on each and every IndyCar this year! A longtime supplier to various teams in American open-wheel racing, AP has engineered their latest CP8278 triple-plate clutch to provide all 14 teams with increased wear allowance between re-shims, along with improved clamp and release load characteristics. The ultra-lightweight pull-type design also features a cushion pressure plate system to aid in modulation. To complement the clutch unit, AP is also providing a slave cylinder setup that can be adapted to different configurations, depending on the exact needs of each team and driver.

The managing director of AP Racing, David Hamblin, had this to say: "AP Racing technology has featured in IndyCar for more than 40 years, supplying a range of components to teams up and down the grid. We’re delighted to be cementing our relationship, as sole clutch suppler, for the upcoming season. This agreement is testament to the quality and performance of our products, as well as our dedication to pushing the boundaries of automotive engineering. We look forward to an exciting championship ahead!"
